6 September - Debate on the tension between Greece and Turkey
"We had a bad night. The wind became very strong and the waves were high. The night watches were pretty hard. In the morning everybody felt very tired and some badly seasick. An interesting incident in the morning was the sudden appearance of a Turkish submarine. We waved at each other and followed our own different routes. In the morning we had our last session on the cultural dimensions of conflict. The afternoon session was free so that everybody could rest a bit. Our evening session was not easy because of the rough weather but we managed to talk about the analysis of conflict and to have a small but very interesting debate on the Greek-Turkish affairs and problems. The boat moves very slowly because of the bad weather and we have started to worry that we will not make it on time to Istanbul."
