25 August 1999 - Waiting off Gaza
"Finally news about our trip to Gaza: Israel accepted to let the boat enter the restrictive area between Israeli waters and the fishing zone of Gaza. From there a Palestinean boat could pick us up to bring us into the harbour of Gaza.
So we left the harbour of Ashdod and went to the meeting point on the imaginary line. It was impressive to imagine that we were the first such boat to enter the restricted area. From the boat we could see the border and we could see Gaza at the horizon.
We waited for some hours, but did not get an answer. The negotiations obviously continued."
