1 September - Time to look to the future and bring the message of peace to others

Leg two

"Evaluation day. We spent all the morning looking back and thinking about the good and the bad, trying to put into order all the ideas and experiences that we had in the last 15 days. Everybody is really satisfied with the Peace Cruise. The training and the work on the ship gave us a huge amount of knowledge.

We were both sad and happy. We knew that we were going to miss all matters but we were also happy because we had spent some unforgettable days together. For some people it was really hard to go home to a country at war when they had experienced peace for ten days.
In the afternoon we passed our experiences to the next leg. We gave them the sailors uniform polo shirt and cap and also we also tried to transmit our knowledge of life on the boat.
This was followed by a reception where we got our certificates and heard a small speech from the Ambassador from Poland and the representative from the City council.

Finally at 2000 the ship started its engine and leg three set sail whilst we were on the harbour saying goodbye with tears in our eyes. We were feeling really joined to the ship, the crew and the new sailors.

We went back to our training room for a final goodbye to each other. Leg number two is finished. It's time to look towards the future and take the message of Peace which we felt in our hearts to others. On our back there were some beautiful and unforgettable moments: Cypriots exchanging a scarf with Turkish sailor, the view of the Gaza landscape from the ship, waiting to come in, the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, the laughters, the listening, the talkings and the reaching out to each other, and many more things we could write about..."

1 September - First night on board

Leg three

"And the day we had all been waiting for has finnally arrived! After having two training sessions on land, an interesting tour of Antalya, and a very nice reception, the third leg Peace Sailors were given the Unesco flag, the statues of Toutankhamon and of the philosopher of Zenon, and got on board. We departed from Antalya harbor at 2000 hrs after lots of hugging and kissing with the Peace Sailors of leg two. The first night on board was rainy but fortunely not stormy. Seasickness paid its dues in leg three too... Things were not that bad though and most people managed to sleep. Watch three was first to take over navigation."
