9 August - Our Cruise starts

"Salam, Peace, Shalom, Paix !... It was a very unique moment to arrive on the deck of the Black Knight early in the morning. We were introduced to the professional crew and to our kind Captain, Waldeck. We were divided into four watches and our sailing training started with an introduction to security on board.

We had to wait for too long before the departure of the ship. We carried out several formalities with the Egyptian authorities with the support of the Sea Scouts of Alexandria. It was sorted out at 10 pm ! We were also waiting for the last visas from the Israeli Embassy. Thanks to the support of the Ambassador - a former Scout - and the Consulate, everything was done and everybody was allowed to embark really.

The ship leaved at 10.55 pm. It was very emotional when the engine started."

Before the great departure, the team gets familiar with the boat, each one of them finding the other through several games.
